I am an Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture at the City College of New York Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture. My research builds critical analyses at the intersections between engineering, design, and environmental humanities, interrogating conceptions of humans, nature, and technology in modern society and investigating the meaning of landscape design in contemporary culture. I study emerging cybernetic technologies and reflect on their socio-cultural ramifications on the constructed environment. My design and research expand designers’ understanding of the relationships between technology and environment and inspire innovative strategies based on post-humanist cognitions of agency and intelligence.
